Railway modelling supplier ALL Components get new owners
28 October 2011
Lesley and Andy Lowe have sold ALL Components and retire from the business on November 30th 2011. The new owners are Chris and Tony George, currently of Severn Valley Models, which will be incorporated into ALL Components.
Andy and Lesley started the company in 1994 selling high quality, 'Lowe' priced, and often difficult to source, electronic components. Soon the manufacturing arm emerged and the smooth running, centre-off range of OnTrack Controls Power Controllers became a popular unit on many layouts - at home, in clubrooms and at exhibitions.
The Agency for Tortoise products in the UK followed, and as ALL Components’ 20ft exhibition stand took to the road an expanding selection of inexpensive tools was added.
“After 15 hectic years travelling the United Kingdom and ROI, and getting to know so many people on the ‘phone, web, by post and at the exhibitions, we decided to accept an offer from a customer to takeover the company.”, explains Andy.
Tony and Chris George of Severn Valley Models have been in the model railway industry for decades and will be incorporating SVM into their new acquisition. Full of new ideas to add to the current catalogue, customers should find many new lines of interest appearing over the coming months. Chris and Tony will be adding additional exhibitions to their schedule, and will be pleased to welcome customers, old and new, to their brand new stand.
The current numbers and addresses for ALL Components will be automatically transferred to the new ones for ALL Components Limited for six months from December 1st, while everyone gets used to the changes.
